The United Nations Development Programme in China (UNDP) assists Sichuan communities for poverty reduction projects where villages and schools collapsed in the earthquake. UNDP has immediately set up the UN Response to Sichuan Earthquake with goods through China’s Ministry of Commerce directly to the stricken area. This is an APPEAL for donation for helping disaster relief and rehabilitation work for victims and survivors of the calamity.

The Peace and Development Foundation (PDF) is a Hong Kong registered charity under 88 Ordinance of the HK Inland Revenue, an official partner of UNDP. PDF has sponsored projects for poverty reduction, environment protection and sustainable development, and directly contributes to UNDP projects for needy migrant workers in China and humanitarian causes.

The United Nations has high level of governance and auditing standard and approved to be trustworthy and experienced in disaster relief and humanitarian aid. All PDF directors and supporters are volunteers and budget contributors. There is no administration deduction by PDF, and 100% of your contribution goes to the UN Disaster Management’s front-line work for disaster relief.
