An internship in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific makes me benefited a lot from it. The United Nations is very different from the institution where I was intern before. It is full of inclusiveness and very friendly. I have learned a lot in working there.Through this internship, I understand the basic theories I have learned, understand the development and application of computer technology and information management technology, and systematically master computer application skills and information management skills, and learn what I have learned and solve practical problems. I am able to use the computer to process all kinds of information in the work, cultivate our ability to find, analyze and solve problems, thus improving my ability to do practical work.Through the theory and practice, consolidate the knowledge acquired, improve the ability to deal with practical problems, understand the main content of the design topic, enable me to understand the needs of society and schools. With the help of my colleagues in the Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization, it is easier for me to prepare for the smooth progress of graduation design and prepare for the smooth integration of the social environment. The period of this Internship is very helpful for training my ability, understanding society, familiar with people's livelihood, and seeing their own positioning.

The Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM) is a regional institution of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), based in Beijing, China. Built on the achievements of the Regional Network for Agricultural Machinery (RNAM) and the United Nations Asian and Pacific Centre for Agricultural Engineering and Machinery (UNAPCAEM) CSAM started operations in 2012.

CSAM’s objectives are to enhance technical cooperation among the members and associate members of ESCAP as well as other interested member States of the United Nations, through extensive exchange of information and sharing of knowledge, and promotion of research and development and agri-business development in the area of sustainable agricultural mechanization and technology transfer for the attainment of the internationally agreed development goals including the Millennium Development Goals in the Asia-Pacific region.

The department where I am internship is the technical department, mainly engaged in network maintenance services. At the beginning of the internship, my colleagues in the office gave me some rules and regulations about the company's operations and computer maintenance. I have a certain understanding of the company's operation and computer network maintenance, especially system maintenance. I really realized it. The computer maintenance work of the office is a small aspect of the operation of the enterprise department, but it is related to the image of the enterprise in the minds of the general public.

At the beginning, I was a little confused. The business was very unfamiliar. All my colleagues were guiding and helping me. Due to the adjustment of the mentality and the gradual proficiency, I learned slowly. I am looking forward to having more things to arrange for me to do. Under the guidance of the leaders and all colleagues, after many days of study and work, I have become familiar with the entire maintenance service process and can report various network failure problems independently and skillfully.

After 2 weeks, I am responsible for the development of whole website, including message board or forum, and some javascript code writing work. The work in the foreground part is to do some typesetting work, using css+div technology. The work of writing code seems a bit boring. But then I understand how to improve my skills and making good things, will I be able to do so. A sense of value will keep you fresh on your work. Therefore, after I work every day, I record the technical deficiencies of each day. Php is a popular web development technology nowadays. Because it is open source free code and has been greatly loved by good cross-platform performance, I personally think that php is very simple and suitable for beginners to learn, but in a certain Some places want to do well, you need to study hard.

There is the screenshot of the website I developed:

During the internship, I deeply felt that the center is a united, progressive and energetic group. Every day, everyone smiles, even if they face a lot of work pressure, they will still hear laughter in the office; in the face of guests, everyone is always warm and sincere; in the face of work difficulties, everyone always helps each other until they solve problem. The whole department is in harmony with each other, just like a big family.

As an intern, I strictly demand myself, be willing to endure hardships, work hard, do my best, follow the company's rules and regulations. The deepest feeling is that my social experience is not rich enough. I feel that the work is not as easy as I imagined. I am exposed to adults with many years of social experience. When I am with them, I need to talk to them in the position of them. I must seize this opportunity and continue to Learn from them and enrich myself. Although there is not much knowledge of computer science used in internships, I still can feel that my computer knowledge is still not solid. If I want to apply what I have learned, I need to further deepen my knowledge.

Finally, I am very grateful to the United Nations Peace Development Foundation. In this UN internship, I can benefit from it. In just two months of internship, I will benefit for the rest of my life. I really like it here, and I am very fortunate to have this opportunity.
